Rockin Sock Club
I happened to get my bonus at work this year just in time to use some of it to subscribe to the Blue Moon Fiber Arts Rockin Socks club. I get a skein of yarn and a sock pattern every 2 months. I got my first one a couple days ago, and just started the sock last night. I have a toe done.
The color is called "Monsoon" and is a nice blend of greens, browns, and blue-grays. I like the feel of the yarn a lot too.
I've also been stalking the messageboards for the sock club. Oh Lordy, people there are insane! They're going nuts when they get their packages, etc. I was excited to get mine, but not to the point of stalking the postman. Sheesh. I'm beginning to think this is a crazy cult.

I am halfway through my first Monsoon sock, and I agree that while i was happy to get it in the mail, and liked the color even though I would never have picked it out, I did not feel the urgency that some posters have. I had no trouble waiting a week to get some 00 needles in. After the wait ended up using 000 (argh) on the foot anyway to get it to fit). Am looking forward to being back on 0 for the heel in a fee minutes and thanks to your experience will go to a 2 or 3 for the cuff.

I was looking forward to getting the package as well, and I admit I am VERY glad that I am not one of the few people who still have not received theirs. However I also agree that it seems to be a bit crazy! I am currently working on my first sock ever, in yarn that I dyed myself at a class. So I am not so sure that my second pair of socks will be the toe up sort! Oh, btw, followed the link to your blog off your post on STR blog. I do not have a blog!
