Can't see the forest for the trees...

Tree towels! I loved doing these. I may just have to put another warp on for some more. The draft came from A Weaver's Book of 8 Shaft Patterns. There's a whole section on little figures that can be made on a rosepath threading, and they turn out wonderfully on the edges of these towels.

Pardon the dark photo. It's been dark all day here and I had a hard time getting any shot that wasn't washed out by flash. The towels are ivory with a dark green border.

Those are beautiful, Carrie. You've been an inspiration to me as a weaver from the get-go! BTW, what's the pattern you used for your bathmats last year? I'd like to make 1 or 2 for my new house in the next few months. My house is being delivered *tomorrow* at long last, so things are moving!

They look great! I love how the different towels have different trees!

Hi Kathy! Great to see you here. I hope you see this reply. I'm glad to hear things are moving along with your new house.

The bathmats I made are summer and winter. I used a draft very much like the one here: http://www.allfiberarts.com/library/bldraft/blsummerwinter.htm

I used carpet warp at 10 epi, then Crystal Palace cotton chenille for the weft. I changed colors when I changed treadlings (so block 1 = color A, block 2 = color B). That way i ended up with stripes and checks.

I did some more with an 8 shaft summer and winter pattern also. There's a picture of one over on weavolution. Are you a member over there?
